INTRODUCTION : 
Arulmigu Adhiparasakthi Temple is situated at Melmaruvathur, Tamilnadu. In the Melmaruvathur Adiparashakti Siddhar Peetam, the divine mother Adhi para sakthi had given great spiritual powers to Sri Arulthiru Bangaru Adigalar, and through that lot of welfare activities are taking place at this temple.
In 1966, people began to worship the Swayambu (self-emanated) form of Adhi Parasakthi, and built a small hut in order to cover the Swayambu Amman and conducted regular Pujas to it.
This place is known as Siddhar Peetam. In the year 1977, the idol of Mother Adhi para sakthi was installed and a beautiful temple was constructed in that place. The idol of the Divine Mother looks attractive, and she blesses her devotees and fulfils their wishes.
Mata Adhi parasakthi herself speaks to her devotees through Sri Bangaru Adigalar, and solves their problems. Lot of devotees are visiting this holy place and getting benefitted.
Arul Thiru Bangaru Adigalar is affectionately called by his devotees as AMMA, since he is showing motherly affection to all of his devotees, and in this temple women are allowed to perform pujas in the sanctum sanctorum.
Melmaruvathur is the adobe of 21 Siddhas whose Jeeva Samathi’s are found here. Here people belonging to all community and religion are permitted to worship the goddess. Lot of charitable activities are done in this temple like feeding and providing clothing to the poor people, and giving financial aid for poor girl’s marriages etc.
People who are performing puja in the Siddhar Peetam normally wear red colored dress. They even come from outstations and after rending the divine service they would return to their homes. Every day Abhishekam at the sanctum sanctorum takes place at 4:00 am. After this, idol of the Mother is decorated using various flowers and after that deeparadana takes place. The Mother's holy prasadam is then offered to the devotees. Everyday around 11:00 AM free food is distributed to all the visiting devotees. Particularly, on the new moon and full moon days, Sri Adigalar is given a grand welcome and free food distribution is done on a large scale under his supervision.
