INTRODUCTION
Sri Subramanya Chalisa is the famous text written in praise of Lord Subramanya, who is also called as Muruga, Karthikeya and Kumara. Sri Subramanya Chalisa describes the attributes and virtues of Lord Muruga, and it is written in a simple form.

Lord Subramanya has six faces. He applies sandal paste all over his body. He is the main source of divinity. His Vehicle is the beautiful peacock. He is the Son of Lord Shiva. He is the Chief of the Devas. He is the superior God and he is omnipotent. I sincerely worship Lord Muruga, and surrender at his holy lotus feet.

Subrahmanya is highly honoured and worshipped by the Devas. He has
several temples all over the world. He contains handsome appearance
with good physique.

Sri Subrahmanya has twelve hands, and six heads. His Divine eyes give much radiance than that of the radiance of Surya and Chandra. He is the Son of Parvati, Parameswara and he contains twelve eyes. He has got the powerful holy spear also known as “VEL” on his hand. He is the incarnation of Lord Shiva. He is the form of the Vedas. He is rider of his peacock vehicle. Sri Subrahmanya appears like the death god Yama Dev, before the cruel demons, and he appears like the handsome Lord Indra before the Devas. He is the best amongst the Deities. I sincerely worship Lord Muruga, and surrender at his holy lotus feet.
Sri Subrahmanya grants all kinds of prosperity. He is the brother of the first god Vinayaka. He gives necessities to his devotees similar to the celestial holy cow Kamadhenu. He removes our sins like the holy mother Ganga. He provides his grace to those who worship him faithfully. I sincerely worship Lord Muruga, and surrender at his holy lotus feet.
Sri Karthikeya acts as our Guru, Guide and god, we can also consider him as our best friend, and can share about our happiness and sufferings with him. He is very fond with his sincere devotees. He is very brave and highly knowledgeable. He is the one who removes the worldly illusions from our mind. I sincerely worship Lord Muruga, and surrender at his holy lotus feet.
Sri Karthikeya is born from the third eye spark of Lord Shiva. He is the divine guru, and he is very soft and lenient towards his devotees. His body is covered with wonderful garments and he used to wear precious ornaments. I sincerely worship Lord Muruga, and surrender at his holy lotus feet.
Sri Karthikeya had formed for the purpose of protecting the entire universe. He controls the entire universe through his supreme powers. By watching his pleasant appearance, we are also getting pleasantness in our mind. All of his six faces protect us like a protective shield. Sri Karthikeya showers his mercy like the rain. He gives happiness to those who worships him sincerely. He blesses and gives fortunes in our life. He is the consort of Ma Valli Devi, and Ma Devasena. He is very fond of dwelling on the hills, and he also dwells on the souls of his devotees. I sincerely worship Lord Muruga, and surrender at his holy lotus feet.
Sri Karthikeya provides sufficient food to all. He can also be seen from our naked eyes, if we worship him faithfully. He is eternal and everlasting, and for him, there is no end, and he would exist even at the time of deluge. He is the root cause for our joyfulness. He would purify us, by removing the dirt from our mind. He plays a significant role in the lives of his devotees. I sincerely worship Lord Muruga, and surrender at his holy lotus feet.
