INTRODUCTION :
Sri Ranga Puri(15th century AD) was an ardent devotee of Lord Vithoba, and he lived in Pandharpur. He used to regularly visit Lord Vithoba at the Pandharpur temple. Once, Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu met Sri Ranga Puri at Pandharpur on the banks of the Chandrabhaga River, and Sri Ranga Puri requested Sri Chaitanya to have food at his home.
After knowing that Sri Ranga Puri was an ardent devotee of Lord Vithoba, he happily agreed, and went to his home at Pandharpur, and he was fed a simple food by Ranga Puri, and offered his prayers to him. Touched by the sweet heart of Ranga Puri, Sri Chaitanya, had finished his lunch, and took him to the Pandharpur temple.
Both of them reached the Pandharpur temple, and while having the darshan of Panduranga, Sri Ranga puri began to shout with a great pleasure, and joyful tears were flown from his eyes. Everybody in the temple had enquired about him, and he replied, that the idol of Vithoba had given him darshan in his true form along with Rukmani Mata for a few seconds of time. On hearing the words from his mouth, everyone in the temple, were shouted with joy, and the temple priest had honored him, and gave him the Holy Prasad of Vithoba.
Immediately Sri Ranga Puri fell down on the feet of Chaitanya, and worshiped him, and he realized that Sri Chaitanya is a divine incarnation of Vithoba, and he understood, that only through the grace of Chaitanya, he got the divine darshan of Vithoba, and praised him with full of devotion in mind. Chaitanya blessed him and went on his way.
Let us worship the great saints and be blessed.
