Sri Veerabhadra Temple ,LEEPAKSHI
Leepakshi Veerabhadra temple is a temple located in the Lepakshi, in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The temple is dedicated to Veerabhadra, a fierce form of Shiva.
This temple was built during16th century AD, and it was built in the Vijayanagar style of art and architecture, and this temple is one of the preserved ancient monuments and it is considered to be one of the most sacred temples in Andhra Pradesh. The wonderful paintings reflect the divine characters placed from the epics Ramayana, Mahabharata and the Puranas which add much joy, perseverance and beauty.
There is a very large Nandi (bull), the divine vehicle of Lord Shiva, which is situated some distance far away from the temple which is carved from a single stone, and it is said to be one of the largest sculpture in the world. The, temple is frequently visited by Kannadigas also since it is located close to the Karnataka border.
The main deity present in the sanctum sanctorum is a big sized idol of Lord Veerabhadra, who contains lot of hands and decorated with skulls. Within the temple complex, we can find the image of Lord Shiva and his consort Parvathi and Lord Vishnu, and there are also few more shrines present in the temple, which adds sparkling brightness to the temple.

Oh! My dear Lord Veerabhadra, who is the incarnation of Lord Shiva, and who is Lord Shiva himself, please forgive my sins and give back my life through your supreme powers.
Oh! My dear Lord Veerabhadra, who has got the holy trident on his hands, who is worshipped by the celestials like Lord Vishnu, Surya, Brahma and Chandra, who is considered to be the son of Lord Shiva, please forgive my sins and give back my life through your supreme powers.
Oh! My dear Lord Veerabhadra, you look like the big palm tree, and you contain several heads, you are the holy consort of Ma Bhadrakali. I am very scared with your act, please forgive my sins and give back my life through your supreme powers.
Oh! My dear Lord Veerabhadra, you contain the great powers of Lord Shiva, you are considered as the humble attendant of Lord Shiva, you are having the capacity to destroy the entire world through your strong hands. I seek apology on you, please forgive my sins and give back my life through your supreme powers.
Oh! My dear Lord Veerabhadra, you contain the great powers of Lord Shiva, you look very beautiful, and you closely resemble to that of Lord Shiva, and those who worship you would be considered as the worshippers of Lord Shiva himself, please forgive my sins and give back my life through your supreme powers.
Oh! My dear Lord Veerabhadra, you look like the dreaded fire before my eyes, you are the death god Yama for your enemies, you are the controller of the entire universe, you are very noble towards granting boons to your devotees, you are very soft and gentle to your devotees, you are considered to be the perfect god, you are very brave, courageous and worshipful god. Please forgive my sins and give back my life through your supreme powers.
