Introduction


Sadhguru, who is also called as Sadhguru Sri Jaggi Vasudev, whose birth name was Jagadish Vasudev, was born on 1957, in Mysore, and he is the founder and the Chief of the most popular Isha Foundation, Coimbatore, and it was established in the year 1992, which contains a beautiful ashram representing the ancient Ashram, and also a wonderful yoga centre for teaching Yoga to the enthusiastic students. Sadhguru has also written books on Yoga, and he is a very good speaker, spiritual advisor, kind hearted person, and spiritual and nature enthusiast.


Vasudev had got married to Vijikumari, during the year 1984, and their only daughter is named as Radhe. His wife Vijikumari had died during the year 1997. Radhe was well-trained in Bharatanatyam and she was married to one Mr. Sandeep Narayan in 2014, who was a famous Vocalist. Vasudev after completing his degree has started his own construction business, but in course of time, due to his spiritual thirst, he stopped doing business and began to teach Yoga to the students. Vasudev had done travelling to abroad and there he had met up with several spiritual experiences. In 1992, Sadhguru established the Isha Foundation as a base for his spiritual activity, and he formed the Foundation in the Velliangiri Mountains in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, and named it as Isha Yoga Center.  The organisation offers various programmes.


There is a tallest Adi Yogi statue for Lord Shiva, and it was installed by the great spiritual personality Sri Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, and this wonderful statue is situated at Coimbatore. Due to its big size and spiritual significance, this statue was entered in the Guinness World Records.  This statue was established in order to inspire the devotees of Lord Shiva to practice yoga and meditation.


Apart from the huge statue, a Shiva lingam called as Yogeshwar Lingam was installed and kept in front of the statue.  This statue symbolizes the holiness of Lord Shiva. This Adiyogi statue was installed on the year 2017 during the auspicious Maha Shivaratri festival day. Sadhguru also takes various measures for protecting the environment against climate change, leading many initiatives like Project GreenHands (PGH), Rally for Rivers, Cauvery Calling, and the Journey to Save Soil. In 2017, he received the Padma Vibhushan, India's second-highest civilian award, for his contributions to spirituality and humanitarian services. Though Sadhguru is doing lot of good activities, yet he has been keep on criticized by some people, and this happens as per the famous proverb, “Those who are good would always be criticised by someone for their good acts, but they would be well-rewarded in the kingdom of god”!


Similar to honouring various other noble personalities, we have to praise and praise the great Sri Vasudev, and he acts as a best example for those who want to do good things in their life. Hence, people must give good respect to this perfect gentleman, who has sacrificed his life for the sake of our wellbeing, and let us be blessed by him.
