Introduction
The Guru Granth Sahib is regarded as the sacred scripture of Sikhism, and it is also called as Adi Granth, and it was composed by the fifth guru, Guru Arjan (1564–1606) and it was installed inside the popular Golden Temple in Amritsar on the year 1604. The text consists thousands of pages and it was written in Punjabi and also in various other languages. The Guru Granth Sahib was composed by six Sikh gurus: Guru Nanak, Guru Angad, Guru Amar Das, Guru Ram Das, Guru Arjan and Guru Tegh Bahadur, and it also contains the teachings of the saints such as Ramananda, Kabir and Namdev. Guru Granth Sahib speaks about freedom, mercy, love and justice. This text is considered as the holy text by the Sikhs. Some of the contents present in the divine book, Guru Granth Sahib are as follows:-
O Lord, your temple is so clean, and your devotees are pure and perfect. O Lord, your gates are so beautiful, and your temple is filled with full of saints and saviours.
O Lord, your powers are very superior, those who have pure mind alone can enter into your temple. O Lord, people love you so much, and sometimes they forget about themselves, during the time of worship.
You are the Lord, who is very perfect, and your powers cannot be measured by anyone in the world. You are the giver of correct judgement and you would never show partiality with your devotees. All the religions teach only nice things to the people and the main intention of each and every religion is to spread universal peace, friendship and respect.
Oh Lord, make me always to utter your names, make me always to talk about you, make me always to remember you and make me a humble servant of you.
